ANOINTING OF THE SICK
This sacrament unites a sick person's suffering with that of Jesus and brings forgiveness of sins. Oil, a symbol of strength, is the sign of this sacrament. A person is anointed with oil and receives the laying on of hands from a priest. The ministry of Jesus reached out especially to the sick. He held the sick in the center of His heart and of His community. Your parish community wants to extend the ministry of Christ to you in your time of struggle.
In times of serious illness or hospitalization, contact the parish office at (509) 926-5428 and Fr. Raymond will come to your home or hospital room.
Twice a year, we celebrate the Sacrament of Anointing the Sick communally during Sunday Mass. You are welcome to join these liturgies.
If you are homebound for any period of time, we would like to send a minister to your home and bring you Holy Communion. Please contact the parish office at (509) 926-5428 to arrange for such a visit.
