OCIA (formerly RCIA) is the traditional process through which adult converts are received into the Catholic community, but all are welcome to attend. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and/or becoming Catholic is invited to join. Those who wish to join the Church will prepare to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion) at the Easter Vigil Mass. People who are already Catholic, but have not yet been confirmed or received First Communion can also prepare for these Sacraments through the OCIA.
The OCIA meets every Monday at 6:30 in the office conference room. We take people when they come and we keep on with the Mystagogy for as long as they continue to come. We meet weekly until Pentecost and as often as needed/wanted after that. Please contact Charles Pfeifer or Mike Heywood at the parish office if you have any questions or are interested in joining: (509)926-5428.
